Keto Almond Flour Bread

This satisfying bread provides the comfort of traditional bread while staying true to keto macros.

Ingredients

  • 300g blanched almond flour
  • 60g psyllium husk powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 large eggs
  • 60ml olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 350ml warm water

Method

Mix dry ingredients

  1. Combine almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Whisk thoroughly to distribute evenly.

Make batter

  1. Beat eggs with oil and vinegar.
  2. Add dry ingredients to wet, mix well.
  3. Gradually add warm water while mixing until thick batter forms.
  4. Let stand 10 minutes for psyllium to hydrate.

Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, line 9x5 loaf pan.
  2. Pour batter into prepared pan, smooth top.
  3. Bake 60-70 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool completely before slicing.

Psyllium husk is crucial for binding and creating bread-like texture. Don't substitute or omit.

Slicing tips

Use a sharp knife and let bread cool completely for clean slices. It firms up as it cools.
